Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing
Long-term care and services are offered to meet the physical and emotional needs of individuals with chronic illnesses and disabilities or who can no longer care for themselves. Long-term care is provided to meet the medical and non-medical needs of residents. Custodial and non-skilled care is provided, including assistance with normal daily tasks like dressing and bathing. Care may also include medical services such as medication administration, diabetes monitoring and tracking vital signs.

Long-term care facilities have staffs that includes medical directors, consulting physician specialists such as podiatrists, dentists and optometrists, nurses, therapists, activity and social service directors and other professionals who have a proven track record in meeting residents’ needs.
At a long-term care facility, residents experience the fine art of senior living. Individuals can choose a private or semi-private room with wood furniture, private bathroom and emergency call system. At some facilities, suites are available with a kitchenette, separate area for entertaining guests and bathroom with shower.
Facilities offer a variety of daily activities, including table games such as bingo and cards, social outings, guest entertainers, pet therapy, movies, parties, holiday gatherings and more. Emphasis is placed on meeting each residents’ social and emotional needs, whether that means participating in current event discussion groups, attending religious services or benefiting from one-on-one interaction with an activities staff member.
