Behavioral Health
The Behavioral Health program is designed to be homelike, secure and familiar to individuals who need psychiatric rehabilitation. In select facilities, behavioral health services are provided to people with cognitive impairments or chronic mental illnesses to help them manage behaviors and achieve the highest level of functioning and independence possible.
Programs and services include:
- Structured Programming
Individualized programs that include group therapy, one-on-one sessions, activities, day programs, vocational/work programs, community integration programs and other services are offered to mitigate behaviors, confusion and disorientation. - 24-hour Specially Trained Staff
A full complement of mental health professionals, including licensed clinical social workers (LCSW), licensed clinical professional counselors (LCPC) and bachelor’s degree-level case managers. - Group Counseling
Topics include Symptom Management, Social Skills Training, Independent Senior Living, Stress and Anger Management, Coping with Depression, Vocational Skills and Medication Management. - One-on-One Counseling
Individualized intervention focused on each resident’s unique issues and needs. - Relapse Prevention Program
An individualized assessment is conducted and appropriate intervention is provided, including group and one-on-one services. - Medication Administration and Monitoring
Overseen by registered nurses (RNs) and/or licensed practical nurses (LPNs). Individuals also meet with their psychiatrist at least one time a month, if not more. - 24/7 Nursing Care
Registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) provide nursing care and supervision ‘round the clock. - Secure Units
Trained security staff, alarmed entrances/exits and a comprehensive pass policy are all features of the security program in place.
